I am contemplating filing for divorce. Should I be concerned if my spouse files first?

Generally speaking, as most divorce cases are settled, it does not matter who files first. There are some advantages in filing first if your case goes all the way to trial. Also you may want to think about the emotional aspects of filing for divorce verses being served with divorce papers.
